Top Reasons Not to Buy a New High End Smartphone Until 2015

Next year 98% of Flagships will have QHD Screens. If you are not familiar with this term all I can say is:

You get 1.5 the maximum resolution of 2014 flagships, except for LG G3 of course since it is the first phone with a QHD display by a major smartphones manufacturer.
Vibrant colors that are more real than FHD displays and you get really very high ppi, we're talking 530+ppi.

Processor

Most flagships of major smartphones' manufacturers use Qualcomm's processors. In the past MediaTek and Tegra processors where also used but they now mostly power low-end smartphones.

The current offerings from Qualcomm to high-end smartphones are Snapdragon 800, Snapdragon 801, Snapdragon 805, Snapdragon 808 and Snapdragon 810. The Snapdragon 800 and 801 are already in use in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2, LG G3 while the Snapdragon 805 will be coming to releases in late 2014 like Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Sony Xperia Z3. On the other hand the processors that are yet to be released are the Snapdragon 808 and Snapdragon 810.

In 2015 it is expected that all flagships will be using the Snapdragon 808 or 810 which is really a big jump over the current Snapdragon 800,801 and of course better than the 805 here is why:

808 and 810 offer 64 bit architecture instead of the ordinary 32 bit in all other models. A system running on 64 bit processor with enough ram to support it (about 4 GB of Ram) will be flawless and as speedy as Usain Bolt running from a wild Cheetah Tiger.
The chips are based on 20nm structure which makes them smaller, lighter and power efficient
Supports 4K Displays
Octa-core with 4 cores for the power hungry processes and 4 cores when the phone is chilling at the pool
Supports GPU (Graphics processing unit) Adreno 430 which according to Qualcomm is 30 % faster than the current Adreno 420 which is not yet in use in any of today's phones!
Supports LTE category 6 supporting download speeds up to 300 Mbps.
Supports Wifi Connectivity 2-stream 802.11ac which is much faster than the Wifi in your phone.
Can withstand cameras up to 55 MP..yes you read it right 55 Mega pixels.
Tight integration and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology and Qualcomm WiPower technology for All day battery life and easier, faster charging.

Camera

In 2014 smartphones' manufacturers tried to be innovative but they weren't successful enough in my opinion, only in the camera department a bit of creativity was sensed. We got background blur using standard software in some phones while the likes of HTC opted for a Dual camera approach for depth perception measurment, 2014 also gave us laser autofocus in the LG G3 and OIS... and then there is Nokia, the King of Cameras in Smartphones.

Nokia put a wonderful 20 MP camera in its Lumia 930 and a 38 MP camera in the Lumia 1020 - Nokia's Flagships for 2014 and 2013 respectively - these cameras get our votes for the best cameras in 2013 - 2014.You may be wondering if Sony should be the king with its 20.7 MP camera, but the answer is no; Sony raised the count of the pixels but it couldn't fix the overall performance in different lighting conditions, Samsung's own S5 takes better pics with its 16 MP snapper.

Now let's jump to 2015, for sure every manufacturer has to put its own touch to have something new to add to its camera department in the spec sheet, so we will be seeing 16 MP cameras as the standard for sure with new lenses, sensors and software to back it up. As for the iPhone 6 it will be released on September or October 2014 and is expected to have a 13 MP camera instead of the outdated 8 MP.
